Subtractive Manufacturing
Hoosier Pattern knows that each project is unique, and we will work with you to determine whether additive or subtractive manufacturing is the best solution for your needs. If subtractive manufacturing is your choice, rest assured that the Hoosier Pattern team works hard to be one of the most well-educated and technologically advanced teams in the CNC machining industry. Our dedication to quality products and processes has even earned us an ISO certification.

Advantages of CNC Manufacturing
CNC manufacturing has many advantages over hand-built tooling. Lead times are drastically reduced to only 4-6 weeks depending on the job size, and tolerances are +/-.005″. A wide range of material options are available, including Stainless Steel, 4140, D2, Ductile/Gray Iron, Red Plastic Plank, Foam Board, Ren Board, A36 Steel, Aluminum, Brass, and more – most available on-site! Hoosier Pattern’s CNC manufacturing facility also houses a wide variety of state-of-the-art CNC machines, including 18 vertical machining centers (Milltronics/Leadwell), 3 horizontal machines (Mazak), 2 CNC lathes (Milltronics/Mazak), and a laser scanner (Nikon Metrology).

So Many Options
Having a variety of different material and machine options allows us to come up with the perfect solutions for our customers, and we take it one step further by working with many different file formats as well. Although our preferred file formats are Parasolid and Step, we also work with CatiaV5, Iges, and Creo, and our highly educated staff are professionally trained in many different kinds of CAD & CNC software such as Cimatron, SolidEdge, Geomagic (formerly Rapidform), and Master Cam. We are happy to offer our customers 2D to 3D conversion as well, so if you are looking for someone to take you from concept to reality — look no further than Hoosier Pattern!
