Subtractive Manufacturing

Hoosier Pattern knows that each project is unique, and we will work with you to determine whether additive or subtractive manufacturing is the best solution for your needs. If subtractive manufacturing is your choice, rest assured that the Hoosier Pattern team works hard to be one of the most well-educated and technologically advanced teams in the CNC machining industry. Our dedication to quality products and processes has even earned us an ISO certification.

Advantages of CNC Manufacturing

CNC manufacturing has many advantages over hand-built tooling. Lead times are drastically reduced to only 4-6 weeks depending on the job size, and tolerances are +/-.005″. A wide range of material options are available, including Stainless Steel, 4140, D2, Ductile/Gray Iron, Red Plastic Plank, Foam Board, Ren Board, A36 Steel, Aluminum, Brass, and more – most available on-site! Hoosier Pattern’s CNC manufacturing facility also houses a wide variety of state-of-the-art CNC machines, including 18 vertical machining centers (Milltronics/Leadwell), 3 horizontal machines (Mazak), 2 CNC lathes (Milltronics/Mazak), and a laser scanner (Nikon Metrology).
