What Hoosier Pattern Can Do for You

Our team’s depth of knowledge gives us the upper hand over our competitors. We have several employees who have worked at foundries, and their experience brings awareness to the urgency that foundries face daily. Our staff is well-educated and up-to-date in their knowledge of CNC machines, hardware, and software, allowing us to cater to our customer’s needs. We strive for excellence in every job we take, and “on-time delivery” means just that. If we promise it, we deliver no matter what the cost.

We work very closely with our customer’s tooling managers and project engineers. Our ability to perform virtual meetings on the fly helps keep all projects moving forward to meet customers’ needs. We can also “red-flag” areas of concern and not just build tooling but give customers suggestions or help audit designs. Our current customers have noticed this interaction and let us collaborate more in providing tooling.

Here are a few examples:

  • When we started, we machined a 100% CNC-machined match plate where the raw material weighed 1,500 pounds. At completion, the product only weighed 150 pounds. Because of its highly complicated offset parting of the pattern, this tooling was the best practice we have come up with to get our customers the best tool possible. The machine tolerance of the pattern to the current 3D model and match of the geometry was within .0035 inches.
  • We have provided 100% CNC machined tooling to our customers within a week to meet their customer’s needs for rapid prototype tooling.
  • We put inventory software in place several years ago, which has paid off tenfold. It gives us confidence in knowing that our material needs are met daily. When we go to the drawer for end mills and inserts to cut tooling, we are confident we have these supplies in stock to meet our customer’s needs on time.

Technology

We are constantly adding more machines and updating technology to stay on the cutting edge of the industry.

Foundry Tooling

We strive to be up to date with the latest in foundry knowledge. Our employees come from a wide range of occupations within the foundry industry, giving us the upper hand in approaching new and challenging tasks.

Rapid Prototyping

We were the first shop in the United States to own and operate a 3D sand printer in-house. Today, we’re continuously growing our rapid prototyping technologies and processes to better serve our customer’s needs.

CNC Manufacturing

With over 20 machines in-house, we are confident that our CNC equipment will do the job correctly.

Pump Components

Thanks to 3D sand-printed technology. We can create a variety of pump components to serve your needs. Many pump suppliers are switching to printed molds and cores for superior products with less lead times.

Mike Roselle, Core Tech Inc.

We have been dealing with Hoosier Pattern since the mid-1990’s. They have always provided timely, professional service with a true concern that they get it right the first time. We look forward to many more years of partnering with them and it is my pleasure to recommend them.
