Machinist Group of Northeast Indiana honors HPI
The Machinist Group of Northeast Indiana is a non-profit educational organization that promotes machining and manufacturing to the public by supporting local schools and organizations. Their 2014 fundraiser project was manufactured by South Adams/ Area 18 Machine Trades 3rd year students. You can check out this sweet piece of machining below. The radial compressed air engine was designed and produced by four students under the supervision of Jerod Dailey. HPI was proud to participate in this project by donating materials. One of the students involved, Kogan Neal, has recently graduated from South Adams HS, and after working for HPI as an intern (since Fall 2014) he became a full-time HPI employee last week. HPI is fully committed to supporting educational programs at all levels that increase awareness of the manufacturing field and the positive impact it has on our local economy. We invite you to visit The Machinist Group of Northeast Indiana website to find out more about this fantastic project and it’s educators, manufacturers and students. The engine photographed below is one of forty that was produced and offered for sale and was awarded to HPI for the support given to the project and the organization. Thanks to all involved.
