What Hoosier Pattern Can Do for You
The depth of knowledge that our team has gives us the upper hand to our competitors. We have several employees that have worked at foundries and their experience brings awareness to the urgency foundries face every day. Our staff is well-educated and up-to-date in their knowledge of CNC machines, hardware, and software and that allows us to cater to our customers' needs. We strive for excellence in every job we take and to us, "on-time delivery" means just that. If we promise it, we deliver no matter what the cost.
We work very closely with our customer's tooling managers and project engineers. Our ability to perform GoToMeeting events on the fly, helps to keeps all projects moving forward to meet customer's needs. We are also able to "red-flag" areas of concern, and not just build tooling but give customers suggestions or help audit designs. This interaction has been noticed by our current customers and lets us be more collaborative in providing tooling.
A few examples:
- We machined a 100% CNC-machined match plate where the raw material weighed 1,500 pounds when we started. At completion, the product only weighed 150 pounds. This tooling, because of its highly complicated offset parting of the pattern, was the best practice that we have come up with to get our customer the best tool possible. The machine tolerance of the pattern to the current 3D model and match of the geometry was within .0035 inches.
- We have provided 100% CNC machined tooling to our customers within a week to meet their customer's needs for rapid prototype tooling.
- We put inventory software in place several years ago, and it has paid off tenfold. It gives us the confidence in knowing that our material needs are met every day. When we go to the drawer for end mills and inserts to cut tooling, we are confident we have these supplies in stock to meet our customers' needs on-time, every time.
Technology
We are constantly adding more machines and updating technology to stay on the cutting edge of the industry.
Foundry Tooling
We strive to be up to date with the latest in foundry knowledge. Our employees come from a wide range of occupations within the foundry industry and this gives us the upper hand on approaching new and challenging tasks.
Rapid Prototyping
We were the first shop in the United States to own and operate a 3D sand printer in-house. We are continuously growing our rapid prototyping abilities with the most recent addition of a Stratasys Fortus 450m printer, printing FDM parts as of January 2016.
CNC Manufacturing
With over 20 machines in house, We are confident we have the CNC equipment to get the job done.
Pump Components
We are able to manufacture a wide variety of pump components including centrifugal pumps, water, and sewage pumps, turbine pumps, transfer pumps fluide flow pumps, and more!
